Company description

Code-Q Oy is a Finnish company founded in 2013. We design and manufacture software related to speech recognition, speech synthesis and accessibility, as well as offering software consulting services. Our speech recognition platform is suitable for embedded systems and supports Finnish language among others.

In 2014 we developed our first accessibility software – speech controlled mobile phone assistant DialoQ Mobile. Since that we’ve developed several solutions to help communication, environmental control and computer usage. With our DialoQ accessibility software solutions users are able to control devices and communicate by using their speech, assistive switches or voice. DialoQ – accessibility solutions are used daily by hundreds of users at schools, homes and offices.

During 2018 we announced, first ever, Finnish speech synthesis using childrens speech. The synthesis is developed especially for communication and includes unique features to enrich speech output by adding options for emotion (like sad or angry), whisper, shouting or even making funny voices.

Code-Q has a unique background in speech technology, multimodal user interfaces, text input methods and embedded software.

All founders have earlier worked for Nuance Communications, building multimodal solutions using speech recognition, speech synthesis and predictive text input technology. Now we’re utilizing that experience to build best accessibility solutions for disabled persons.
